Privacy
This page collects nothing. There are no accounts, no cookies, no analytics and no tracking. Photos you add stay in your browser session and are never uploaded; your jar, scans and plan choice exist only in this tab’s memory and disappear when you close it. The only thing saved on your device is a small counter of your free scans (see below) — no account, no name, no email, no upload. Downloads (CSV and dealer sheet) are generated on your device. To unlock a paid plan you type the email you paid with; it is sent to our verification check only to match it against Stripe, and is never stored.
Checkout and payment details are handled by Stripe — JarSort will never see or store your card number. The email you enter to unlock a plan is used only to check your payment with Stripe. It is never stored, sold, or used for anything else.
Free-scan counter: JarSort stores a count of your free scans on your own device (local storage, key jarsort_free_v1) so the three free scans survive a page refresh. It holds only the count and the date — nothing that identifies you — and clearing this site’s data in your browser resets it. If you unlock a plan, this device also stores the plan and its expiry date (local storage, key jarsort_unlock_v1) so you stay unlocked until the plan ends; clearing this site’s data resets that too. If you redeem a contributor code, the extra scans are stored the same way (local storage, key jarsort_bonus_v1). The email you enter for photo identification is stored on this device only (local storage, key jarsort_identify_email) so you only type it once; it is sent with each photo-identification request so the server can count it, and is never used for anything else. Photos you add are never uploaded and are not saved to your photo album.
