2010 Vancouver Olympic coins value
Circulated 2010 Vancouver Olympic coins are worth face value: the 25-cent sports pieces spend at 25 cents, and the lucky loonie at C$1. Do not add a premium for 'Olympic'. The only premium is in uncirculated grades — and only in unopened original packaging.
The three numbers that matter
Prices as of Oct 24, 2026 · Silver spot $53.80/ozt (Kitco) · Circulated, common date, problem-free, raw (uncertified) unless stated
The unopened-packaging premium has no same-day figure — do not invent one. MS/NBU premiums rest on unopened original card, roll, or mint set; opened loose coins price as loose coins, and below MS-64 they are basically face value.
The 25¢ sports series (2007–2009)
The 25-cent series covers alpine skiing, ice hockey, curling, biathlon, figure skating and more (2007–2009), plus the 2010 lucky-loonie $1. All are copper-plated steel (25¢) or nickel-bronze (loonie). None contains silver.
Don't break the packaging
Any premium above face value rests on unopened original packaging (card, roll, or mint set). The moment a coin leaves its card, it prices as a loose coin — and a loose circulated Olympic coin is face value. If you inherited a sealed set, keep it sealed.
What to do with them
Spend the circulated ones, or keep one set as a souvenir. If you have unopened mint sets or rolls, check the MS guides above — and get a dealer's opinion before breaking anything open.
